15 years of experience
Galehi is a state level association of homoparental families. It was born in 2005 from the enthusiasm of a small group of families from different parts of Spain with a common need: to support each other and to find a safe and friendly place where our children could meet family models similar to theirs.
Over time, we saw the need to respond to society and the media to questions related to our families and our rights, bringing them to light and giving them a voice.
Today, the association has more than 400 members, we are a benchmark in the fight for our rights and we are in constant contact with the government, the media and other organizations and institutions.
Plurality, tolerance and respect for diversity must preside over all our actions, especially within an organization that was born with the vocation of claiming these values. These are some of the family models that are part of the association:
- Single parent family
- Adoptive family
- Host family
- Extended family
- Through assisted reproduction methods (AI, IVF, ROPA Method and Surrogacy)
- Step family
- Co-parent family
- With children from heterosexual relationships
- Childless couples
- In the process of having children
- With LGTBI children
